my console is silver slim ps2 v15a or v16 with matrix inf 1.88

playing oni 4 (2 dvd game)..it asks me to switch to disk 2 after i played disk 1---> it always say wrong disk...
(original multi-disk game work though, back-ups no)

i have to power down console, put in disk 2 first to load then it works..

    what the prob?
the firmware? the console? or the mod chip?

thanks for the big help, cuz i play lots of multi-disk games..

The modchip. Matrix inf. (and all its clones) have an anti-mod checker. More precisely, your chip goes to sleep after u insert your Backup/Import.

Don't worry, if the game is loadable after turning off console, but it's pain in the ass, if you can't save after 1st disc.

so i'm guessing its the sleep-mode then?

so its like this for all multi-disk games for matrix inf? like FF and so on..

is there a way to fix or get around it? how about upgrade firmware or get a newer chip cuz i still have some warranty from the place where i got the chip installed...

don't really want to live with it cuz some game don't have to save thing between first and second disks?

    thanks first
