While trying to reassemble my PS2 I've somehow broken the tabs (both on the motherboard itself and on the memory/controller port) which the black ribbon cable slots into. So now the brown tab on the motherboard is weak and won't hold the ribbon cable properly, and the little flap on the memory/control port has completely snapped off.
I thought about trying to glue them back into place, but I'm not sure if this is a hazard, and if it will even hold the cable secure anyway.
Has anyone encountered this or does anyone have ideas on how they could be repaired? It would be annoying to have to buy a whole new motherboard just because of a couple of broken plastic tabs, but I can't see any other option right now
I've posted a couple of pics showing the broken tabs. Hopefully someone can help!
