Brand new PS2 controller input gone mad
Hello. I bought a used PS2 at a local game shop about 3 months back, an SCPH-30001 R. The controller it came with had a small problem where it would occasionally just out of the blue start making everything go right. such as, if i'm on a game menu, the selection cursor will go all the way to the right. I could easily resolve this by hitting the controller with the palm of my hand. Well, my dog got bored one day and decided to chew the controller cord right in half. I tried desperately to save it, but it was no use. she chewed the line right between the controller plug and the piece of metal shielding. So i went out and bought a brand new official Sony controller from Wal-mart. And, i finally got a memory card, so i start up my game w/ the new controller, and right off the stupid bat, the cursor starts moving to the right. No matter what i tried, i couldn't get it to quit. This is especially frustrating considering that i only have one game for this console, NSFMW. While i have mastered driving with this problem for the most part, i am at a point where i cannot progress because of it. And it gets more and more frustrating the more i try. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? IT IS A BRAND NEW OFFICIAL SONY CONTROLLER!
