just purchased and fitted the latest matrix infinity chip to a UK pal 30001 ps2 and now get the screen with browser and system configuration on but the controller seems to be non responsive so I guess a boot cd is required which I believe I have downloaded but I can't seem to grasp what the read me file is trying to get me to do with regards burning it to cd (must be a bit thick I guess ) so I could do with an idiots guide or a link to purchase one ready made if available

cheers in advance for any help proffered

All you have to do is unzip the file, you then have a (.bin) and a (.cue) file. All you need to do then is open alcahol and then go to "Burn Image" and direct the software to the cue sheet (.cue) and then tell it to burn (( I always burn @ 4x).

If this is not clear enough, pm me and I'll send you a disc with the firmware on.

Thank you for the quick reply, I only have nero 6 but I assume it will do the same, I down loaded the latest dev2 installer so I just unzip this and then add the files to a cd/dvd in data mode in nero Express and then put it in the ps2 and switch it to standby mode ?

    cheers

just transferred the files across using nero express but the screen remains the same so I must be doing something wrong as I'm still stuck with the browser system configuration screen so I might take you up on your offer Scotsman if you don't mind
