backups flickers rolling screen for pal/ntsc
backups flickers rolling screen for pal/ntsc –

hey guys just got my modded v4 ps2 with the infinity matrix. regular ps2 games loads up fine but for some reason when i put in any backup pal/ntsc game the tv screen flickers. the game loads up but it just keeps going rolling on the screen like movie credits i guess it flickers? i know my tv can play pal and ntsc disks as i have watch movies on it in both format. anyway how can i fix this.
i just tried on a different tv set. and this time instead of a rolling screen i get a blue screen after the matrix logo. i can see a bit of the game but its mostly a blue screen combined with rolling screen.
update: just made it worse. i was able to get into the configuration screen(circle+triangle at startup) to adjust the settings for pal/ntsc and rolling settings. anyways now after resetting it the configuration screen rolls as well along with the regular ps2 games non backups. help?

A friend of mine was playing about with the SYSTEM.CNF file coz i thought it would help.
It looks like this when opened in notepad:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLES_535.04;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = PAL
i told him to change PAL to NTSC then his game wasnt black and white anymore, but in its correct colors
( he had prince of Persia thrones PAL game on an NTSC PS2, using Independence exploit, no chip)
Can u do this for all games? And will it work against the flikkering? (50 - 60 Hz difference)
In other words, did i discovered a new thingie? (dont think so lol)
And does it really work for all games?
