    Ok, here's my story...

The other night, I was demonstrating the knife trick to some of my friends to show them how I boot some of my PS2 backups. I think I used a knife that was too thick/heavy and in the process of unlocking the drive, I broke part of the track that runs underneath the disc tray. The PS2 would still read discs if I left the tray in, but if I tried to eject it, it would only come out about an inch or two.

Now the question is, does anyone know a place that sells disc trays for v9 PS2's ? And while we're at it, are there any flip tops that work with V9 PS2's?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've managed to get the disc tray in all the way and I can now load discs, however I have to have the top of the PS2 off and I have to take off the DVD-ROM cover to swap discs. Not a huge deal since I really only boot the MC exploit, however, I'd stilll like to fix the disc tray. Anyone know where I could get a replacement disc tray?

You could try here in the classifieds, or eBay. If you're into the MC exploit, have you considered a flip-top?

Yea, I also wanted to get a flip top for the my PS2. I've looked on eBay and I don't like all those clear flip tops... I just want a simple flip top that will replace the top of the PS2, I don't want to replace the whole case. Anyone know any where else I could get a cheap flip top?

    thanks for the reply btw.

Would a drive motor help me swap discs easily? And thanks for the link to the fliptop, the price isn't too bad IMO.

Thanks a lot for the help guys.
