I have installed both Magic and Xo-2 chips.

I give the X0-2 a 10/10. I give the magic 9.5/10 The reason is that the XO-2 is a smaller form factor and fits nicer right on the motherboard where the Magic is better off installed on the metal cage outside of the motherboard.

The XO-2 booted everything I threw at it.

I tested these on a v5 and a v7 with no problems at all.

    Racer,

Curious to know if that 10/10 XO-2 rating includes working correctly with a GS2/AR2 and cheat codes...

I tested it with GS 1.93 and a copy of Army men Air Attack 2 and it seems to work good. I am really not a gamer, but my helicopter turned into a bee so I guess the codes were working haha.

I got my chips from www.psxtune.com

Right now, they only work for v5 - v7 consoles. I know they were working on older models, but now that they removed them from their site I have no more info on that.

Hi Racer, i agree whit you i test the Xo-2 in a NTSC-V5 whit GS and it works, however i can´t get load Metal Gear Solid 2 Dvd-R, i'm wondering that is a media issue, because others DVD-R works great and the same game doesn´t work whit the Apple chip, Are you test this specific game?

In my test a trying to load a Region 4 DVD movie using the GS player, but when i put the movie inside, the GS seems to hang, I know that the X0-2 is'n DVD region free, but if you know some trikc to get that it will be very usefull for me, thanks

I have some XO-2 chips to sell, pm for details or write to suragamer@hotmail.com

You forget a third option the XO-2 multiregion, that Lan-kwei promise.
You have news from the cyclone team, they don´t send me info almost 3 weeks ago.

What do you thing about my problem whit the Metal Gear Solid 2?
