would having the dvd wires crossing each other give intermittent rsod
chipped a v9 a couple of weeks back soldering the a,b,h,i points to the chip legs, had it back off the bloke saying it was giving rsod on backups.
opened it up to find one of the wires had just popped off the chip leg. anyway assumed it was that and ran it to the alt point on the bottom of the board.
gave it back with everything working fine again, last week i get it back again saying its giving the same fault :banghead:
so opened it up again, gave another one of the dvd wires on the chip leg a small tug and it popped off so i assumed it must of been that. after that i thought better of the chip leg method removed them all and routed all the dvd points to the bottom of the board.
checked it friday, everything working fine. just thought i'd check it again before i gave it to the bloke (for the third time :banghead: ) and its giving rsod but only every now and then
now the dvd wires are running over and crossing each other now, could this be the fault??
its doing my haed in as i keep thinking its sorted, then it just seems to go tits up
