i have tested the mars2 and messiah 2 1.31 and messiah 1.33
messiah is working correct.but only the version 1.31 is not working correct on all v9 consoles...the problemm is fixed in the last version 1.33 so the messiah is now working on all models correct.
mars2 is a good chip but not all games work on this chip
i have tested with difrent chips and i have find out :crazy
messiah 2 - all games works tested on +- 80 ps2's
dms3 - all games works tested on +- 20 ps2's
the r i p p e r 2 deluxe - all games works tested on +- 60 ps2's
magic5 -not all games work tested on +- 5 ps2's
mars2 -not all games work tested on =- 50 ps2's
apple chip -not all games work tested on +-20 ps2's
magic 4 -not all games work
magic 3.1 -not all games work
magic 3 -not all games work
matrix mxl2 -not all games work but boots like messiah2
i have tested last the matrix mxl2... it is nice to install but not all games do not work... like game splinter cell...
i think like dms and messiah using 22 wire's that the chip and the ps2 is more stable than it used less wire;s
i sell all of this chips.. and i have also tested a lot.. check my page to see that i'm not faking Plextor
i think the messiah 1.33 is now the best chip on the marked..
the r i p p e r 2 deluxe is also a good chip.. but i don't know for sure yet
but it is still working correct
dms3 is also a verry good chip
my conclusion is :
if you want to have a good chip then you must pay more money..
the best chips that you must buy is the messiah2,dms3,and r i p p e r 2deluxe
and find a installer that knows how to install..
i have never problems... with installing a chip
always works correct... the only ****ing problemm.. is the ps2 lens... it is always crap and you must buy good quality cdr's and dvdr's
uhhh, frankly i think what you posted is quite useless and i'll tell you why.
you didnt list the errors when the games "didnt work"
you didnt list why the games "didnt work"
you didnt list what games you tested that "didnt work"
you didnt list whether or not the games that "didnt work" were retail or backups
you didnt list whether or not the games that "didnt work" were ntsc or pal
you didnt list whether or not backups that "didnt work" were rips or not
you didnt bother to list what version systems that these games "didnt work" on.
plus, people already know not everything works with a magic 3(hence why there was a 3.1). and why did you group the magic 4 in with the rest of the magic series chips? it wasnt made by china-magic, and people already know this. and what in the world does
"the chip and the ps2 is more stable than it used less wire;s"
mean? the number of wires has nothing to do with how stable a chip is.
Also I would be interested in which apple chips you had problems with - the old ones are known to not be so good with new games as the games were not created when the chips were.
The new apples such as the Apple Pro have zero problems Installed heaps - sold many, many more! Also never had problems with the Apple2 in its day - obviously it is old now so you will get some games that it wont work with - this is expected
that is like saying all Messiahs suck cos the Messiah 1 does not boot all games, or that the DMS is bad as version 1 wont work on such and such.
there is a reason why new chips get released.
If one wants to be selective you could say such and such chip is the best because it is the only one that has not been reported as killing a PS2... but one also needs to keep in mind how many chips have been installed, who installs them and how they have been used.
