Why?

Hey guys,
i have a crappy "Sumo 7" modchip installed on my V12 PS2 that i bought premodded. Now i was wondering why some programs like cheat programs(which don't work on my PS2) work on some modchips and on others they don't. All the other rograms work on my ps2 via ulaunchelf or MyPS2.

Because most modchip coders do not put effort into the quality of their modchip. They do not code the modchip to work along with the cheat devices. High-end modchip such as Matrix Infinity, Crystal Chip, and DMS usually code their modchip to work with cheat devices.

but what is the difference between a cheat device and a normal program?

normal programs dont require you to swap a disk in the midle

but ulaunchelf runs OK and sometimes i do swap a disc in the middle.

The point is the modchip will not allow you to use cheat devices. Technical reason why? You have to go deep and learn about code infrastruture of your modchip.

indeed, but u might want to try other cheat devices. Perhaps one of them does work, u will never know until u try.

i already tried ARMax Evo 2,Codebreaker 9.2,USBAdvance. all don't work with my f***ing modchip.
