"AWG #32 Solid enamel insulated solderable wire
105 deg C temperature class
Sold in 1/4 lbs spools. Price shown is cost per 1/4 lbs spool. $5.50"
How much wire do I get for 1/4 lbs? Is there more than 46 wires so that I can complete a mod?
Cant you get that wire at an electrical hardware store or is that special wire?
At first, I thought the type of wire is not very restricted and that's why I asked in my title as to where I can find some cheap wires (ie, ace hardware) but charlie_ps2 suggested to look at the modding tips thread.
I don't know, but some people even reported problem for a wire being too long, so I don't know, ps2 modding might be quite sensitive.
I got mine from there and you get quite a bit (more then 3 times the amount of the 30awg kynar at radioshack). You will have enough for 46 wires and more ;)Quote:

How about the thicker wires for power and gnd? Did you get it from the same place? there will be way too much if you get 1/4 pd then? Also, how much was shipping?
don't buy 22awg from there because its solid wire and its not shielded :/ I learned the hard way. radioshack should have some 22awg wire. Shipping was like $5 for priority for a 1/4lb 22awg and 1/4lb 32awg. I would just order the 32awg. It ends up being about the same price as if u got three 30awg packs of wire from radio shack.
Get kynar wire.
Can you use 32gauge wire for the whole thing instead 22ga. for some parts and 32ga. for the other?
