Whats the Difference betwen MATRIX MX4 and Infinity?

I'm looking to buy a nodchip for my New Slim PS2 (i think thats the v12)..I have heard of the Matrix Infinity but not the MATRIX MX4 , are these made by the same Team, if so whats the difference and will both work on the New Ps2.

I have installed a Duo SE before and it was pretty easy but after reading the specs about these chips it seems that you have to flash them 1st before you can use them to play backups?

I did and it doesn't help,they show the same features

MX4 doesn't support bootmanager etc, Infinity does.
