hey guys , what ps2 version should i get ?

    v7 or v9/v10 ?

cuz i heard the 9\10 have some problems , like heating up fast , or that romeo mod people are talkin about that got them into some problems !!!

so which 1 would you professionals suggest ?

and btw : my current ps2 is Pal model SCPH 30001, i don't know with which chip it's modded , but it plays every game (DVD games , Backups , original PALs, original NTSCs) but it doesn't play all DVD movies regions, the only reason i want to buy a new Ps2 is cuz i heard NTSCs are better for Online playing , so should i do that , or they're both the same ?!

For me V7/V5 were the two most stabe models. BA IC's are easy to get in case something went wrong, and you do not need anything like a romeo mod for example... V9/V10 are a pain in ass, especially with a crap laser, and the soldering points on the controller are not for begginers, hehe... NTSC is better for online ? It's new for me.

    regards, Stephen

V7, only becuase there is no question as to whether it is stable or not. Ive never had any V9/10s that Ive modded come back, but you can only be 100% sure of a long lasting system with a new V7.

    I'd also say V7,

Or if you could somehow get one of the newest V10's with the new laser assembly..

He means I think that there are more NTSC folks (US or Japan) that are playing games online. I'll assume this is true, makes sense, but I don't know the stats.

Anyway, v7s are great, v9/10 if you get the romeo mod done or whatever, some of the v9/10s are grand.
ALLERGY ALERT: The above post may be nuts.

    Consoles:

    Currently:
    *N64, GBA, both un-modded.

    Passed away:
    *NTSC U/C PS2 v4 w/No Solder v4 (SOLD, DRE... Laser Died )
*NTSC U/C PS with Plugmod (SOLD to pay for above )
