What Modchip should I get??

I have a version 1 ps2 and Here is what im looking for...
A no swap solution that will not create problems with the DVD movie feature. Also, not create any problems with create problems with future games (IE ones that detect mods, ones that are on a new/different type of media). Also, I was wondering what a good reliable site to buy from was. Any input would be appreciated...

The reason for no replies is that no advice is good advice in this case.

The v1 will be nearing the end of its useful life if it has been well used. So who is going to recommend a chip when no chip might play DVD-R?

The Messiah2 works great if you have LOD install it for you. He is an expert on v1/v2. He does a great job. If you want you can get a dms3 and have someone to install it. I hope this helps.

Just get the messiah2 and be happy. The magic 3.1 might not work with dvd9 on the v1. I hope this helps.

Firstly sell the V1.
Because your laser is fuked.
Get a V7 and getta a Messiah 2 Pro you wont regret it.
I sold off my V3 with a Neo 2.2 and that was having trouble reading good CDR media.

Is the best place to sell it at EB or gamestop??
IF i do sell it, im thinking i might as well buy a premodded system...also with the V1, i was thinking that the flip top lid would work, what do you guys think??

You can sell it on ebay at http://www.ebay.com. When you get a v7 premod get psx-tech. He is really good and there are other people who do it in the BST Vendors Area. BST means Buy/Sell/Trade Forum. I hope this helps.

thanks a lot for the help, so i think im just going to sell the magic 3.1 chip that i ordered in the BST area, sell the V1 and buy a premodded ps2 with messiah 2 in it...
