What Is This Mod?

I just got a V3 PS2. Found a Blue box with " EA BOX " wording
on it. The box is sitting between the power board & cd rom box.
A few wires were soldered onto the mainboard and a few to
the cdrom side.
What is this mod?

It couldn't be a blue chip cos I got a 30006R modded with blue
chip before. Blue chip is not a box type.

Got 7 wires, purple, brown, orange, red, black, yellow & white.
Brow, orange, yellow & white go to the mainboard, the rest
go to the board below the cdrom.
It not whole box blue. just the side withe the word ' EA BOX' in
blue, rest black.

If so, how do I boot up backup DVD & CD if can?

i think its one of the addball neokeys that aded ea function with no patches

I see, so it should come with a Neokey or Sbox.

No - it's an internal version of the Neokey.
It's a pic chip in fancy packaging.
