    rwtan Guest
    Hi

i have a 10000 unit which is running the 1.00 disc. what drivers are you guys using to work with the sony remote for dvd?
is there anywhere that these drivers can be downloaded? i searched for hours on the internet and cant seem to find anywhere with any info with which drivers are for which machines.
I have a remote which came with the 2.12 drivers but that is for NTSC/UC machines as stated on the box.

you don't download them, they come with new dvd remotes..
unless you get a bb navi 0.10/0.20 disc, 0.30 installs bb navi which, within the hdd, updates your dvd driver... you need a hdd for updating with 0.30..
or you could use a hdd util disc
you need v2.10 at the very least for your ps2. (v2.00 might work...)

You can use the hardware from North America, but you'll need to get a driver disc from somewhere from Japan. It has to be NTSC/J

From Driver v2.01 supported the DVD Remote. The newest driver out there is the V3.00 as it adds a bunch of new funtions now. (I'll elaborate a little later, but here's a short list: A-B Repeat, Shuffle, Programable, Disk Repeat, Play List??, Clear)

You can get this new driver on the BB Navigator V0.30 disc. There's an online retailer that ships it out internationally, but I gotta dig up the link from someplace.

as i said before, with my v0.30 disc on my japanese 15000 i can't get it to install the drivers, as now from 0.30 bb navi discs are not fully featured util discs, the driver has to be included with the hdd install, thus you must have a HDD. (which i should receive spare pieces for the external connectors soon, as i already have an internal one)

Stop talking out of your ass. They're still Fully featured Util discs regardless. The driver does not need to be installed with the HDD Install; only the HDD needs to be connected because it does a detection on boot.

I alternate between my HDD v1.0 Util Disc Install and BB Nav 0.30 Install all the time.

I can boot the Nav disc and install the drivers at any time.

Hell, been surfing the BB Navigator network and it's an interesting piece of work.

    Anyways....dbl-check your facts before talking.

Besides....all you would really need to do is import a remote set from Japan and it will come with the v3.00 drivers with it as well. They've been in there for ages....just decided to include it with the BB Nav 0.30 discs recently.

To rwtan, I'd say leave your drivers where they are. if you read the 1000 guide stickied here you'll see that this driver allows you to play out of region movies.

Fooniman - your PM mailbox is full.

Have you got an English language version of the usaer instructions? I've only got the Jap version and so we can't understand how to use the HDD and thus can't validate it with Messiah 2.

    Thanks
