What if you don't gound the clock wire
Lets talk some more about the massiah2 clock(36MHz) wire. I have in stalled a massiah2 in a V4 PS2. Working fine.
However there are very faint lines diagonally, many when the laser is reading. It was worse (not faint) so i thought of changing the power wires, did use 30awg kynar, then doubled up. I was using the same wire x1 for the clock, Which i changed to stranded wire.
When i tested the ps2 i noticed that there was a very big improvement, but not gone, the lines are still there very faint.
The person i chipped it for hasn't even noticed.
But I'm a perfectionist.
If i ground the clk wire would that be it.
What problems have you noticed when the clk is not ground?
I have install few messiah1s this problem is not there. I did use i different wire to in stall M1s. That's what i put it down to.
Reading the posts you mentioned grounding the clk. I think that could be my problem.
