Try another Duo 2 SE or try reinstalling the chip. Your install might be flawed.

I get exactly the same thing on my V4 duo 2 (or pretty close). Getting a new laser soon.

i agree with entity, a clicking laser is a dying laser. You should clean the lense with a q-tip cotton swab until its clear. If that doesnt help you can try adjusting the pots underneath the laser. But youll need to replace the laser sooner than later.
