Ok I don't know what my PS2 version is but I believe its V4 (It says SCPH-30001 and has a electric warning on the bottom).

Anyway aside from what version is my PS2 what Mod chip should I buy? I'm getting ready to order one currently and I don't want to be stuck with a piece of crap. I would like something with a good boot rate and not to hard to install of course. I'm sorry i'm asking this question but like I said I don't want to be stuck with a piece of crap.

    Thanks

    You have a V4 300X+electric warning=V4

All modchips are more or less the same dificulty to install, the two modchips that work well and have a good compatebilety are Matrix Infinity and Crystal chip.

Some advice Stay away from solderless modchips and clones, solderless like DMS Ezi Matrix infinity clones include: ModBo,Alladin 70K,Matrix Infinity,NH9,APE ect.. ect...

    I'm looking at this

    hxxp://www.mod-chip.com/en/matrix_infinity.htm

Is this place a trusted place to order a Mod chip from?

And I have a friend that can soldier it. So I don't think the installation on this should be to bad, But this is a good mod chip correct? Right now i'm using HDA and I can't play a huge amout of games. With this I hope to play DVD9 and alot of other games that aren't compatable to HDA.

Of course modchipman.com is pretty good and they are an official reseller which is good. They are ok. I have not dealt with them but I have dealt with the like I have mentioned. Bought a ps2 and a dms3 v2.0. You should be able to. Make sure you get the latest firmware. I hope this helps.
