I hate to have to ask this...but I just got back from china. Had a chip installed into a friend's PS2. This thing is one of the greatest litle chips I have ever seen. The notable feature is that it goes into PS1 mode by tapping reset twice. Also, things seem to move fast during certain boots. Does anyone know what this is? I'd like to get another.

Nope. It looks like it has 2 small chips on it. So its not a neo and I can't seem to find a messiah chip. It looks like the ripper chip. Anyone know anything about those?

rippers are low-quaility chips that are mostly clones of others. should be fine though. Do you have any pics of it?

Matrix MXL boots PS1 games either holding reset until blue light comes on or pressing the reset twice... And MXL pcb size is quite small. (and these chips work fine by the way, hehe)

Hmm. Either way it seems more forgiving than my chip right now. Where can I get one of these chips?
