Im installing a DMS3 and I am getting cross talk somewhere that is difficult to fix. Wires are fine, since I got the thing to work, but then upon glueing the wires I got cross talk.
First my disc tray ejects constantly, so i figure its the eject link that needs work on.

My main question is what is a BGA chip, as DMS3 troubleshooting lists that I should avoid passing wires across BGA chips. But what is an example of a BGA chip on the PS2 MB??

    Thanks

bga is short for Ball Grid Aray the main bga chips are the emotion engine, graphic's synth, memory chips and cd/dvd controller v5 to v8
the way to identify these chips are easy they have no physical legs to solder to they are attached to the board from the underside of the chips via small grid's of solder ball's hence the name ball grid aray be aware that running over one or under will cause noise on the dms3 and cause problems hope this helps.
