I currently have a DMS 3 V.9 installed on my V.10 Ps2. I am looking to buy another ps2 for my brother and I am wondering what is the best modchip to install on it? To be honest, I haven't really tried to take advantage of the DMS3 V.9 features, maybe someone here can tell me what I can do with it, otherwise I want to know if there are any other good chips to use. Thx

If you feel that you won't even use the modchip's features and you just wanna direct boot backups then I recommend Duo 2 for your V9/10. Duo 1 for V7 or earlier.
But the best modchip has to be tthe Matrix Infinity or DMS3. Matrix is cheaper. =) So I guess that's better.

I've got a v7 (USA) Modzone.com has an offer for a DUO 2 and you get a Duo 1 free (don't see the point in having 2 unless you wanna give one to a friend)...anyway why is the Duo 1 better than the Duo 2 and is the matrix infinity the best for a v7? Thnx

actually the duo2 is better than the duo1. it direct boots and the chips that is good for the v7 is the ms2pro, infinity, and the dms3.
