I just got a version 3 that i am supposed to install a Matrix Infinity in. But to my suprise another chip was already installed. What is this chip ?

I agree, looks like a neo 2.2
you need gameshark or similiar to boot ps2 backups but should boot ps1 backups by itself.
not a good chip compared to todays standards, so I would just change it

it should have a number on it like 12c5068 or something like that

wow haven't seen one of those chips in ages it seems, its amazing how far the mod chips have come since the old swap mod chips to the recent mod chips of today

lmao!!Its a ps2 chip Lmao!!! but seriously it's a neo 2.2 it simply lets u loaders like swap magic without using a slide card.Just load the loader app press eject and swap the disc then close it then boot

I have exchanged it for a Matrix Infinity now and it works great. Im keeping the Neo thought, as a reminder of the good old days :P
