WhatÂ’s the best modchip to use on PS2 90004 V.18 GH-071-42 BOARD

Hey guys,

First off all congratulations for the very nice job you guys are doing.

IÂ’m new in these questions to unlock the PlayStaion. I listen this from a father friend of my son, which is a way to do it, with chips and using boot CD, so I start search on Google and arrive were.

The thing is, why I what to unlock it?

It´s because I’m tired and crazy to spend money in video games for my son, he only have 5, he scratch them and I have to buy new ones again.

So far I read in the forum, there are lots and lots of different ways to see the issue, because so far I see exists very different kinds of PlayStation versions and motherboards, and because of that lots of different wiring diagrams and chips.

So far I understand my PlayStation PS2 slim it’s a SCPH-90004 PAL 8C --> manufacture date, motherboard version 18 GH-071-42 and Bios it´s B6150B D0020U, and I want to install a modchip on it, that allowed me to use copies from the games I buy in the store, but easy to use once it’s for 5 years old boy use.

I attached fotos from my board from front and back and from the back label for you guys can see what I´m talking about.

From what I research, the most proper to use in my PS2 version are Modbo 4.0 and Duo3_Ultra. (Tell me if IÂ’m wrong).

I read here: http://www.covetime.com/modshopplace...products_id=77 that Modbo 4.0 can be used in me PS2 version but in same places I also read, it canÂ’t be.

And also here I read this, telling that’s also possible use Duo3_Ultra http://www.eurasia.nu/shop/product_i...roducts_id=327, once more I read in other places it can´t be.

I’m indecisive between which one of them use, once it’s exist a lot of wiring diagrams for them, but for my mother board version I didn´t find anything yet, because of that I don’t have 100% shore if they are good to use.

Please guys can you advise me, if these chips are ok to install in my PS2, please notice my motherboard version and so on, or if exists other better chip to put on it, in these last case, can you guys also supply me the wiring diagrams and all the stuff to help me solving my big problem.

I have been searching and I found the Matrix Infinity green dot.
This is not considered the best chip available on the market?
