10-11-2006,04:27 AM
i got this modchip installed, and it is doing fine, its the early modchips
annyways, my system is PAL and my TV only accepts NTSC.. whem im booting a game DVD, it always comes out with full colors and such (so i confirmed that i have MODCHIP installed)... the problem is when im booting homebrew CD's (independence compiler, launchelf's).. its always in flickering black and white.. how can i fix this, i already changed the system.cfg to NTSC.. is there any soldering involved in the mobo? help mo out here guys.. im stuck.. oh and another thing, its always in black and white with flickering screen whem im playing audio cd's or organizing my memory card on the system menu... thanks again anyways...
ok, i used the search button and it gave me 20 pages.. but nothing there solves my problem... ill summarize my system up
1. i got a modded 30004 - R Pal system
2. i dont know the chip.. so please bear with me
3. i already changed the system.cf to region=ntsc
4. no, i dont have any s-video cable on my TV
5. i wanted a permanent solution (e.g, board soldering) i found this one (cant attach picture it says that i need to short out that two connection), but i dont know if its okei
thnkas and hopefully im in the right thread... been wanting to post this one up on Hardware modding section, but.. i have this modchip installed

You need an advance modchip like Matrix Infinity or Crystal Chip to change the tv signal. Changing the system.cf to NTSC will not solve the problem. Until you get a better modchip, you won't be able to play NTSC software.
