weird acting h20 on a v12 pal???
i fitted a h20 and summ0nes resistor fix in a pal v12 last week, tested all backups etc and everything was cool. i then needed to go out so i glued all the wires etc and left it.
came back next day to reassemble, hit power and the screen flickered and then sat on a black screen with no laser movement.
i'd heard of people fitting the resistor fix getting this problem so decided to remove the 560k resistor. and any trace it had been there, didn't really think about it and used a solder pump:crazy: the 303 resistor shot up there and i'd dumped it in the bin before i noticed.
anyway no problem i replaced it with another i had off a dead board and its reading fine at 303 (thinking it could be something to do with this you see)
once i'd done this tried power, ps2 booted fine to browser, then fitted the laser booted fine and played backups:dance: i thought.
again i had to leave it till the next day but thought i'd reinstall the resistor fix as i must have done it badly initially to get the fault. ( i was just pleased to have sorted it)
but i've come back to it today and i'm getting the black screen initial fault again. looked at all my connections and they are all good, so i don't know wtf is going on:banghead:
anyone know of what could cause symptons like this??
thanks for your time
