Warning to those with 200-240v electricity getting replacement power supplies

i got this SCPH-15000 knowing i would get a replacement power supply for my ps2 that would work, so i got one, but in less than 2 weeks 2 capacitors blew, 2 resistors, a diode, and one resistor is now blowing it self and now the damn thing doesn't work.

i warn you not to buy a ps2 and buy this replacement supply unless you're looking to replace most of the pieces on it, because they used very cheap electronic bits...
it would be better to get a stepdown convertor from lik sang which is cheaper, many other sites have it too.
well, i'm off, once i fix this i'll probably post exactly what should be replaced to get it to work on a 240v current! :D

I agree entirely. Maybe http://sperry.com.tw/sp-psx2.htm would be a better place to buy parts.

something i forgot to note is that i tried contacting lik sang about the order through that order enquiry feature on their site, and it seems they aren't replying, it has been 6 days now and they basically don't reply to anything you would e-mail them about.. so now i'm stuck with a mucked up PSU which i will be trying to fix once i figure out what kind of resistors i need to get for replacement..
charlie, have you bought this replacement for your scph-15000 ps2? what's your solution to my quarrels? pretty soon i'm going to be trying to get a 100Watt stepdown transformer, not just for this but for a 15watt iron and bb unit...
