hahaha - that is just begging to get ya banned!![]()
So we know what the problem is, where can we get new laser units which will have good coils.
Replacing these seems to be the only good solution.
www.gamecomputer.nl
unfortunately no where cheaply - I did a search a while back...
NeoASIC and DIVINEO (china) are the cheapest. Divineo UK sells the new ones in minimum order quantities of 50 or 100. Divineo china sells re-conditioned ones but wont gaurantee that they will work on delivery...
Lik sang also sells them but at an inflated price.
NEOASIC was the cheapest - but have a minimum order quantity of 100 but wont break their trays of 40 so you have to buy 120 at a time... effectively making the 100 off MOQ a joke as the real order quantity is 120+ - ouch.

My thoughts on the death cause:
poor winding / possibly poor choice of wire - i.e. bad enamel - friction damage easily etc can cause new lasers to have low and almost short circuit type coil resistance and this results in dead LA and BA chips
I will test a known dead V9 laser I have at home to confirm this against a working 400B laser I have.
I always said that Sony are cheap buggers using cheaply made equipment to make huge profits - one only has to look at the construction of the V9 / V10 lasers to see how cheeply held together they are now - i.e. flimsy tin metal plates etc.
0.9 and 4.6 console is dead
Ok all sounds plausable, BUT why not NTSC consoles then?.
This all has been knoww for a very long time, l_oviera If I remember correctly did a good tutorial about it one year AGO. Actually, one thing I miss from the ****** guys. Talking about consoles that DIE and when you replace the LA still reamins dead. (not to mention one thing, why do these "bad" laser heads work in another console for months, when the original console died in 3 days ???) Shouldn't it have to kill the other board in the same short period ??? (by the way, just meassured the heads, 3 out of 4 are in PERFECT condition...) So this still was NO the real prove, just ONE step. Great pics anyway. By the way, what about consoles that die without reading a min, (no disk inserted) what kills the LA (if at all) then ? I am sure they are right and a lot of consoles suffer from this problem they were refering to, but NOT all. And the burn LA is just ONE of the TWO dead V9 syndromes...

sounds very plausable NOT but they want to sell YOU mods remember they want installers to keep installing to make $
i noticed the guarentee stuff at the endno way would i do that to a customer yeah cough it might break it might not, id rather not install at ALL.
2 big fish tails here why not ntsc consoles as mentioned and how come the laser units work in other machines without killing them as also mentioned.
im about to split my side here we have the m2 team saying no problem with code the mxl team saying they found the problem there mods wont kill machines anymore pointing at the code
an now ****** with the laser problem.
who do we believe guys ?
what they dont state that the problem of burnt boards/la could be reduced by adding a simple everyday component to the focus and tracking line the pads are there in the picture's.
R*pper team (btw could someone stop this stupid censorship? tia) clearly states that mods don't kill consoles.
Not THEIR mods, but ANY mods.
Seems more honest to me than someone saying he found the bug in the code![]()
honest lmao give me a break ****** by name ****** by nature
