    does it matter what side of the via (top or bottom on the motherboard) you install the wire to for a mod chip? duo2se

    I'm guessing this is a V9/10? Aren't the VIAs on that under the CD Controller chip? You can solder the wires to the pins on the CD Controller.

    actiually this is a v4 mod. but the top of the vias are covered in this white crap

    ah,, forgot the V4s had VIAs as well.. in that case, no it should not matter..
