VIA destroyed

Had a console dropped off... the customer tried to install a Duo2Se, and apparently scratched right through the 'f' via on a v9.

I completely removed the chip and all wiring... nothing but black screen. Any ideas on resolving this via issue?

follow the trace and solder a wire between the trace att a better spot and link it to the dsp-chip where you can find the f point also. i´ve fixed sevral mobos that way.

I too have done that fix. I do it for 8 bucks.

Thanks guys... will try it when I get home. Damn small trace though. Should be fun.

Try to scrape some of the trace off, and then instead of actually soldering to that, find the other end of it and solder to that VIA.
