hello, i just got my 5kx+ from that canadian site, there are wires included, but it seem to be missing one wire (needs 21 but only 20 is there). Can i just splice one of the wires into two, would that work for the v3.3 soldering?

Btw, can i use one of these 4 copper pads for the GND soldering?

huh?huh?huh? can you say that again? are you saying it's ok to use 30awg wires for all the soldering points?(including v3.3 and GND), or are you saying that i can use one of the copper pad(circled in yellow) for the GND, or are you just pulling my leg?

the 30awg is fine for everything except ground, double up 2 lengths of it for ground and you`ll be sorted. and yes, those pads are fine for ground.

You can twist 2 30awg wires for v3.3 and GND, that will work.

and yes you can use the copper pad for the GND.

hot glue works fine for holding down any wires and chips. Double sided tape is also an option. On the big gnd pads roughen them up with an exacto knife, as long as you're not cutting too deep and only the gnd points, it will make the solder much eaiser to bond. Flux will work virtually the same. Have fun modding!

what is a exacto knife? And do i need to do the same with the other points (the small holes that needed to be soldered), they look kind of hard to stick.
