Very strange problem...

Well, my friend got a machine, which was chipped with a Magic 3.1 and it does not work. He asked me tolook at it, but phew, I have no clue what's wrong with this machine thought I have seen several PS2s and many problems but this one is beyond my limit. Anyway, it's a V7 PAL, GH-22 board.

So I checked the installation and it looks ok. But when you power on the machine on its back, there's no video, no power/eject led activity, not any sign of power, (nothing when you press the eject or reset button,no red led at all, of course the cable was checked and replaced) but the fan starts to spin in a few seconds and at a very very high speed. Then I removed the chip, but no help, it still did the same. I checked the bios, the fuses, looked for solder splashes, bridges or anything like that, but I found nothing. As I said, I have seen many unworking machines but never seen anything like this. If any of you could help what to look at and what to check, I'd be very happy.

Yes I did, still no good. The one from the "bad" works fine in another machine, and the "bad" machine doesn't work with another psu...
