dusnt matter about that lot now i figured it out i have a v12.1 (i didnt reolise it says 683 on the actual resistor lol)
im fine with soldering wires to chips and so on but that L2 point looks solid to do without bridging the 3 lines next to it. on pics iv seen it just looks like a big blob of solder

for me doing that fix was a lot harder then installing a chip. next time i do one il place the fix someware els and solder wires to the places

If you have three "dot´s" below the SMD´s then you have an early v12 every v13 I´ve seen have only two "dot´s" and the "sony mech-fix" on the top off the board next to the RS2004FS

what about the ones that have 01D resistor, two via's (dots) and no "sony fix". Is that a v12.2 ?

if it´s doesn´t have the sony fix I think I should go with the SumOne fix.Really don´t know cause every Ps2 here in Sweden is v13 or above for a long time now.

Are you shure it doesn´t have the fix on the topside of the board?
It is right next to the Rs2004Fs where the "VanDrunen" could be soldered
