yeah it could be a simple fix.. cleaning the laser lense with a q-tip usually works.. khs-400c laser's are long lasting. especially when no backups have ben used on it.

V5-7 (coz made in JAPAN not china )
yeah make sure they are selling it for under $65 a used ps2 at eb games are $119. and they are carrying the v9-v10 alot of times.
v5-v7. i'd probly prefer v7 newest but easy.
but loy you dont shy away from the v10 or v9 either from your work they all look the same to you. hahaha all the ones you did for me and i still cant do one yet.
I have modded two V5's without any problems! How are the V7's easier? I will have to look at some diagrams. I have installed the Matrix XL2 chips.
easier as v5-v7 are easier than v9 and such not jsut v7 easier i prefer it cause it's fairly new. i like my v9 and v10
