Hey guys. Modded a new v7 with a duo chip and on the way to putting it back together, i damaged the ribbon cable so the standby light wuoldn't come on. Fixed the ribbon cable, and those lights come on now, however I when I turn the ps2 on, i get no video/audio. Took the duo chip out, and same thing. Look at the mobo, i see no bridges. However I did have trouble soldering to 2 specific points. The PWR Point, as well as the S point (Both illustrated in the following link) Duo Installation Diagram

Now I had gotten the S point connected, but the Pwr point was such a pain that i used the Magic point instead. Now I am wondering, what fuses/spots should i be checking? I doubt it is the BA chip, because the mod was out of the system before i could even get the system to show the standby light (cause of the ribbon). As well, the Pwr point illustrated doesn't look too good on the mobo. Does anybody know any diagrams i should be taking a look at to get an idea as to why this is not showing video. Thank you folks!

Note: I just wanted to make it clear that the ps2 was never started out of Standby with the Modchip INSIDE the system. I do not know if that helps at all. Thanks!

Thanks again loy for helping me out here. I will get pictures in the morning if that is alright. What letter describes the SCEX point? Now Power, I soldered to point PWR on the diagram shown, Which i think is the fuse, which I think I may have fried (and i think is the whole problem because it doesn't look too good). I am going to go over everything with desoldering braid tomorrow after work. the blue light comes on.

To test your fuse just check both sides with multimeter and the ohm setting, should be continuity through them.

The "s" point is the scex on the duo chip. I think that mainly affects ps1 backups, though. Could be wrong.

Yeah I took the desoldering braid to everything, and actually ended up removign that SCEX point in the process. Same thing when i turn the ps2 on, nothing on screen. Tested all fuses, they are all fine. Going to try returning this ps2 to the store seeing as the void sticker is in real good condition. Loy & tiggersbowl1, i would like to thank you for your help in this matter.
