If you did it yourself, the only practical advice anyone can offer you is for you to go back over each and every solder point with a multi-meter (VOM) and absolutely ensure that you:
1.) Don't have a solder bridge between any two or more chip legs.
2.) Have good continuity between the solder point on the motherboard and the solder pad on the MC2 (to eliminate a broken wire.)
If the problem doesn't crop up during your testing, then it's time to bite the bullet and send it off to a Pro like LOD or someone...
I have the same deck and LOD refused to have a look he told me this on the phone. Is your version 4 magic2 the gold pcb? Only true solution from him was to install messiah(pal) on datecode 1a and 1b
yeh, get a messiah, LOD said he'd had problems with the v4 magic 2, sell off your magic and get a messiah
I'm with Balto on this. A mis-install is likely not an incompatibility. As a matter of interest, which v4 magic 2 is it? The latest "fixed" one?
What is your date code, U number and PT number? Did you notice your BIOS version number (like 030)? Down to brass tacks now please.
