    LOD,

This is a quote from you after the first PS2 V1 was fitted with a V3 chip.

"Installers beware on the NTSC v1, v2 PS2 the only connection that will cause much difficulty will be the (S) point. This involves the removal of the Power Supply that is soldered to the Main board"

And in the original picture you show the "S" point on the other side of the mother board. Are you now saying that the "S"point is on the same side now?

its only the v7 with the underline no one else need to be concerned, we are now looking at making th e add on chip stealth leaving the end result a even better mod!

Here is an install I did on a v3 yesterday. The (S) point was gotten on the other side with little difficulty. And the chip worked. The Modchip.ca guys are saying same side I always said other side for the (S) wire Experment if you wish but most Times I need to get the job done and working first time hard or not. This (S) wire difficulty is only on the v1, v2 PS2 the v3 is a cakewalk.

Ok, I see where I was confused LOD. This thread is in reference to th V3 motherboard and not the V3 chip.

    Thanks

hey LOD, why did you solder that blue wire from one of the jumpers on the magic 2 chips to a point on the ps2 board? Also, do you have any higher res pics of your install of the A - I and W points to that chip and where you installed the S point?

edit: oh wait... haha that is the Z point

Also, where did you solder the W point and the GND point to? I cant tell from the pic you posted

edit: I zoomed in on the image and now I see where you soldered the GND, I think the W is where it should be according to the modchip.ca diagrams but is just hidden behind some of the other wires. Hopefully the S location on the back of the board wont be too hard to reach

Here are the controller points once again these work so far for the v1,v3 PS2
    Also The bridges are there.
The (S) point is easy on the v3 PS2 Get it on the BACK side.

Here is a clearer picture of the controller Use these at your own risk if there are problems use the alt (W) point but I don't think there will be.
