    A very helpful info collection.

The only concern I have is with the location of the Magic 2. If the metal 'cage' is insufficiently screwed down, the heat conducting pads on the disk servo control chips won't make with the 'cage' and they will overheat. They get VERY hot.

So I've attached my alternate location picture on the outside of the metal cage. This has certain advantages if you need to lift off Z or S or something!

This one is for Modchip ca the v3 diagrams on your site the (M) and (N) point are wrong I should know I made that PIC the points are transcribed. Also the v1 Pics are for a v2 PS2. Here is the link to the HIGH RES v1 Scan please make a diagram for it. And the puzzle should be complete.

I also have a HIGH RES pic of the v2 if you need it.

Also the (S) Point on the v3 diagram if I am not mistaken must be had on the other side of the board.

    LOD,
Can you please make the V2 picture available so that I can compare to my board. I would like to see what the differences really are.

Can you also get us a similar picture of the "S" point ( in high res )? I have just looked at your PS2V1A.JPG from your site. Is there anything comparable?

    Thanks.

v1 - v2 (S) point I do not know if it is the same for the v3 but I do think you get the (S) point on this side.

hey lod why post that s point location why not use the top side s location? if it doesnt work on all or some then we will start shipping a 4 wire (power ground trigger and sce output) add on, its way easier then desoldering those nasty boards on a version 1 or 2, we will be making a chip for the flawed v's that went out anyhow so it would be the same chip. If you want a nice picture of that location check out my v1 v2 images for the neo 4.

Will the people who recently received their V3 chips receive the add on or update? How does one know if he/she has a flawed chip?
