v9 wont turn on by eject botton

I've put a M2 1.33b in my V9, everything works fine except the machine wont turn on by the eject botton. I can hit eject after reset is pressed to turn the console on. I double checked the eject line and there are no shorts, what else could cause this?

check the flat ribbon cable, probably it's not completely connected to the motherboard!
