v9 troubles –
is it me or am I the only one having trouble with them damn v9 units. This is the third unit I have gone through that gives no picture, cd spindle spins at high speeds with slight noise and eject does not work?
IM losing my mind here, like the v9 was not meant for us, LOL. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
What chip are you installing?
magicV 50k and DMS3 v9...both originals. I don't know if it is cause I use a sharp knife to make the VIAS points a bit larger but this is starting to tick me off. IM about to open up my PC board software creator and whip something up to ease the entire scene of v9 units.
This smell as CD/DVD controler short's
making the vias larger, hmm this is going to cause u problems, aroung the vias under the plastic coating of the board is most likely grounded
enlarging vias u most likely shorting them to ground
try the legs much safer
the legs? anyone have a picture? Thanks.
I did some searching and compiled this together. Please verify if all is good. Thanks.
wow, you install mods but are having so many problems with v9s oh well, umm, dont scrape the VIAs too much.
Solderless Mods and Flip tops are like tampons, every pussy needs one!
I know, its like the v9 weren't meant for me, heh. I already paypal'd my buddy money to go buy a v9 to design a prototype of a universal clip kit mainly for the vias / cd.dvd points. I will keep you all updated on that. IM guessing it wont cost that much to manufacture it. Time will tell.
Soldering to the CD/DVD controller in a V9 is pretty simple using the Razor blade technique. Its no way as difficult as the V3 PS2. Why bother with Vias and maybe damaging them and solder direct to the chip
