v9 syndrome?? On a brand new unit??
hello..I just got a v9 (network pack) and installed my dms3+...(see thread http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25699) and after trying desperatly to get the DMS3 to play nice...it now has all the symptoms of the v9 syndrome. I have checked the coils...both at 4.8...could the laser be offset...it booted everything perfect a while ago....but now...it goes directly to the browser...it shows the inserted media...but will not play it. If I select the media...it goes black, tried to boot, then returns to the browser. WTF!! ...sorry..this is making me mad. I love the features of the DMS but dms3 and v9 DO NOT mix... so any ideas? ...aside from going to a matrix infinity....(just spent $$$ on DMS, not cheap)
Thanks in advance...
I'm the installer...and yeah it is a quick install..

So I tried to see how fast I could do it..lol.Kinda dumb? YES, but I was waiting for posts about my problem...anyways...it worked. Ironic. It booted fine..the problem was...this browser screen thing. Now...I've disconnected the power AND ground to the chip...same thing...so curious I tried the config menu (L1+L2+R1+R2) and the menu came up...unpowered....so I think I may try to disconnect the chip fully.
FYI: the "CLK", "D" and "E" are isolated using 24g wire and the grounded wire wrap method...the ground wire is 24g and solid. and I've tried two 3.3v sources now. I've checked over VIAs...bios...
One problem could be that my wires (30g kynar) are all over the place (slack install remember)
