v9 PS2, replaced LA with LA6508A, eject light blinks

when i first turn the system on. I replaced it with a good one from a v7 mobo lying around. When the system turns on, the eject light flashes, and the system boots, no ejecting or disc spinning or anyhting.

your ps14 fuse keeps blowing, cause u have a short somewhere on the LA.

make sure there isnt a bridge - beter yet: find the mistake, correct it, only then replace the fuse again. happened to me when pin27 and 26 were bridged

Hmm. I bridged the fuse spot ( iknow it's dangerous and stuff) and it still did it, so there has to be something else.

if you bridge the fuse you might blow the LA so you might now need another replacement LA.
