v9 - Mars II (501) Disc spins super fast

ok, brand new ps2 (v9 = 50001 3c)... put the modchip in, soldering everything perfectly, no problems
started it up... it asks you to select ur language and time zone
but i didn't even get out of that stuff b4 the dvd drive started to read the disc... it throttled for a bit and then just went maximum drive
then after that, i kept hittin the power button to try to turn it off and it didn't go, so i hit the back of it and turned it off
and now its fuct, when it starts up u get a screwy screen with lines on it
i took it apart and manually took the dvd out, because none of the buttons worked anymore...
but now i put it back together and it booted an original,
I tried a backup again and it tried to go crazy again, but I shut it off fast.

You have ashort in cd /dvd controler or wrong instaling the wires ( b in location c etc)
