v9 fuses ps5 and ps7 replacement options
v9 fuses ps5 and ps7 replacement options –
need to replace ps5 (fan driver) and ps7 (8V regulator) fuses
got this ps2 form someone who broke the fan clip off the borad and tried to glue it back on
just wondering what i can replace these with other than the same sm fuses
on the v5 fuse diagram both ps5 and ps7 use fuses printed S7 on top does this mean i could use any fuse with S7 on it
i have a dead v4 mobo but the same sm fuses arent on the v4 board
these two i need to replace have JD printed on them
the closest thing i can find on the v4 board has ED printed on it and appears to be joining two circuits
can this ED be used to replace the JD fuse?
or can i take one of the bigger fuses rated at .7 amps to replace these smaller fuses (not enough information on the v4 fuse diagram in the faq section to determine a good replacement
used a 30x microscope on the board and the ps5 and ps7 fuses are labeled JD
or at least thats what it looks like
thanks for the link
the fuses i need to replace are 8v regulator and 5v fan driver so i wonder if i could put an S7 in place of both
although it a tight space for the swap in both cases
It probably a manufactor coding. I know the DigiKey stuff is 'ND'.
S7 - .7a
30 - 1.2a
50 - 2a
any fuse with the same amperage and higher voltage should work.
