    Have you done the ROMEO mod? If so try undoing the romeo mod, and put pin 17 back in its place. The look into the summones fix for the V9/10 PS2's.

    I just had one like that, just would not power the motor to spin up at 5v. But with 12v worked just fine!

    No romeo mod done, i guess the person attempted it before, and that's where i came in to fix it.

    i use the originals - you can order them from d i v i n e o
    I've done the romeo mod to lots of boards. the 5v presents no problems. with the 12v you risk blowing the laser/la
