v9/10 with DUO2 SE Mod-Chip

i always here that v7 is the mose used version with the duo 2 se? will it work with a v9/10 50002 or the same...just i neva hear duo2se with 50002s. whats another altnertae for 50002s ??

Duo 2 se works with v9/10s.

Duo2 SE's work great with all v1-v9 systems that I've modded. Never modded a v10. Be careful of the duo2 clones though, they don't work well with v9-v10 systems.

I put a duo2se chip in my V9 PS2 and ended up with a black screen on boot. Then when I removed the chip my PS2 no longer worked. I got my modchip from www.foundmy.com and it came with absolutely no instructions, just the chip in an envolope. I found installation instructions online and installed it according to them, but after it didn't work I tried to contact foundmy, but my email has when unreturned. So I started looking for what might be wrong by searching the web. That's when I found out about the V9 syndrome. Follow this link here and go to the middle of the page.
If you still plan on moding your PS2 make sure you do the romeo mod first. NOTE: This mod appears to only be necessary for V9 and V10. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, or endorse it if it is right.

You're right PS2junky... the v9 & v10 PS2s require the Romeo mod. The new slimline PSTwo requires summ0ne's fix (do a search... you'll find a ton of info in these forums on both mods).

The Duo2SE works great in v1-v9 PS2s, but I've personally had issues with the v10 machines not working properly (horrible boot rate), so I've stopped using the Duo2SE chips on my v10 installs.
