Is there a way to visually identify a V8 and V9 from the packaging box ?

Am I correct in assuming that all V9 boxes contain this:

I'm going to buy a core PS2 later this evening (just the PS2 no bundles, games or network adapter) and want to make sure I get a V8 since I already have a Magic V chip (not 50K).

Only the V9 and V10 have the yellow "+" on the box.

Just in case I can't find a core V8 PS2, is there a visual difference on the network bundle box ? (ATV offroad fury + network adapter).

    Thanks !

You definitely aren't going to find any models that are less than the V7, and only the V9 and up have the "+" logo on the corner of the box.
