hi ive got another v7 i wanted to chip.
now that it has a duo2se in it, it wont read any dvd, it always goes to the red screen. I tested a Backup on -r, an original game (Tekken 4), an original DVD, and DVD backups on +r.

When the chips is "soft" disabled by holding power until the clouds come, the ps recognizes the originals, and the movie backups, and not the game backup (of course).
it recognised a backup in the browser as game once with the chip enabled, but that was after long trial. i quadruple checked all the connections with alternate points, and they seem to be ok. i used the m-p points on the bottom, which link to the appropiat bios legs. i have that running flawlessly in another v7, so...whats my problem, or where could i start looking besides "clean up and start over again"

i reinstalled the chip completly and it still doesnt work. it wont read any disc. tourned out i soldered a wire wrongly when i corrected it at first, but now i am 99,9% sure its not my fault, as all the cables are as short as possible, and they melely cross. i think the chip is botched.
