  1. #1 v7 or v9 better? best for M2 or DMS3?

I'm reading all these horror stories of chips and PS2's not working ....

WHICH IS THE BEST VERSION OF PS2?

    I currently have a v7, and was either considering M2 or DMS3,

and I'm also thinking of getting rid of the v7, and getting a brand new SILVER PS2 ... (v9 I believe). and then either M2 v1.33 or DMS for v9.

Would anybody say the v7 is better than v9 ...both modchipped?
or would you say go for the Silver v9?

    Cheers,
    Sid

I'm still undecided about the chip though!!

An installer who my friend has been dealing with for the last 3 years, says the M2 v1.31 will be ok on pal PS2 v9....
    and he guarantees the work.

Or should I not take the chance and seek alternatives,
of either DMS for v9, or M2 v1.33...
(which he doesn't have at mo)

Just got my hands on a new M2V1.33 chip. Looks good, been assured by good authority and a high source that this chip is sound for the V9 pal. These will be available within the next few days. As for DMS3 there is no sign of this chip as yet, its been posponed several times to my knowledge. I also has sitting here a Messiah M2131 chips. I am personally not using them in the V9 PS2`s V1/V8 is what I will be using these chips for.

Willl be posting a review on the new chip soon after installation, but I would use and this is my opinion only the new M2 V1.33

Cool, after some wheeling and dealing I'll only be forking out a £5 for the new silver PS2.... (sold v7, sold v3, and loadsa demo disks!)

So v1.31 is still ok for all other versions of PS2, except v9?
for which the v1.33 is made for? would the v1.33 be ok for the other version PS2's too?
If so, then why not use this chip for all version PS2's??

Let me know how you get on mate, look forward to your review.
