    i got this ps2 v7/v8

    i belive it is a v8.

    GH-019 whit stange bios.

    Attached image for identification help.

    Gap in bios.. 3 legs missing on both side of bios, pads have solders.. looks OK!
    Ond one is missing one side.. looks like it is gone... marked RED in picture.

    Pleas help me out.
    need to know if the red marked pin is gap or missing ...

    Bios looks like a mees.
    Only got black screen/no sound och fan working, power light.

    assuming you mean the redmarked pin ?

    is ok to us a dremel on the bios have done some LA pin off fix before !!
    but looks a bit risky...

    Yes dremel is risky, but hey it's already messed up.

    2 pins were off from the mobo and only one from bios.

    Well dremel it is... !!

    can only say

    digged out a real nice pin from the bios !!!

    Allways afraid to use the dremel 20.000 rpm can go right tru if you are not carefull.

    Next step:
    Solder back bios.
    and Chip the tham thing !!!

    sorry my cam is to bad to take picture of it.. :/

    S point resistor is gone..

    and two more resitors..

    Man the duded that did this really ****t the mobo upp..

    btw fixed one of this dudes bad soldering..
    flux over all the mobo... and some missing resistors..
    If they tell who he is im going to give hime a book on soldering basics...
